T2245 Line Printer

T2245 demand document printers not only provide print speeds and 24-wire
quality that exceed expectations in this class, but also offer versatile 80-
or 136-column footprints and the ability to load up to three tractor forms
at once.

The Market

T2245 are designed for mission critical printing at the front counter.In
these situations where printing directly impacts daily operations,
uninterrupted performance is critical. A reliability rating of 10,000 hours
MTBF (mean time between failure) is another significant advantage we bring
to this market. At 540 characters per second (CPS) or 415 pages per hour and
workloads to 16,000 pages per month, T2245 dependably generates volumes of
invoices, shipping bills, bar code labels and reports.

Comprehensive Paper Handling Features

The printer comes with standard front feed push tractor. Supplemental push
tractors (front and/or rear) allow users to load up to three different forms
at once. The front tractors, with an exceptionally straight paper path, can
reliably handle heavy six-part forms. Other key features include quiet
operation, automatic gap adjustment (AGA) to accommodate different forms
thickness, and auto quick tear, which moves the paper to the perforation
automatically for tear off with no forms wasted.

Emulations, Bar Codes and Memory

Both models include Epson LQ-2550 and IBM Proprinter XL24 emulations. They
contain 15 industry standard bar codes, including POSTNET, and 8 popular
fonts. A flash memory feature allows users to modify firmware or fonts by
downloading files from a PC via the parallel I/O.
