T6100 Line Matrix Printers
A long-time manufacturer of rugged, workhorse printers for commercial and industrial enterprises,
TallyGenicom leads the industry in the development of line matrix technology. With the T6100 line matrix printers,
TallyGenicom not only achieves price/performance leadership, but also brings to market the lowest cost of ownership for products in this class. Derived from the highly successful T6090, the T6100's are faster at 1020 lines per minute (LPM), and offer flexibility as open pedestal, enclosed pedestal or quiet cabinet
configurations.
Positioned for Value and Low-Cost Operation
For printing time-sensitive, high volume critical business documents at a very low cost, line matrix printers remain a viable
solution. We understands the needs of this market, and with the T6100 we set out to provide the best overall value as well as the most aggressive cost of operation possible. As a result, these products are below major competition for cost of ownership based on cost per lines per
minute. Cost of operation is also a major concern of these customers. Over a three-year period, the average user printing around 50,000 pages per month can save lot of money every year in consumables and service costs with the T6100 versus the
competition.
Adapt to Various Environments
Reliability is the primary benefit to be derived from our line matrix printers. With an unlimited duty cycle, the T6100 is designed for long, unattended print runs of bar code labels, multiple part forms or heavy stock. Built to perform in harsh environments, these printers do well on a shipping dock or in a dusty factory, but can maintain office-quiet operation if necessary. QMS Code V and Printronix Graphics Language (PGL) compatibility for industrial graphics and bar codes are included at no extra cost, while POSTNET bar codes can be printed at near text
speeds.
Connectivity, Speed and Ease-of Use
The T6100 comes standard with auto-switching parallel and serial interfaces; in addition, optional I/O's allow for connectivity to up to four hosts simultaneously. LANPlex II or FourPlex options allow for both serial and parallel connections and either Ethernet 10/100 Base-T (LANPlex) or Twinx/Coax (FourPlex) connectivity. Optional IDPS over TCP/IP is also available, as well as IPDS for
Twinax/Coax. For optimum speed and throughput, the T6100 incorporates a proprietary controller featuring "Page Segment Architecture" which intelligently arranges data into page "segments" prior to printing. This eliminates the time-consuming forms reversal typically required when printing text and graphics, and allows both to be printed in just one pass.
