Driver installation notes
Some files are PKZIPPED to
EXE files and should be executed with the -d option.
To extract the drivers,
first download the appropriate driver file to a new directory
on your hard drive.
To extract the driver files to the new directory: Click
Start/Run then Browse for the new directory and file. Click
Open. The driver file name will now appear in the Open
dialogue box. Now type 'space'-d after the file name. Finally
Click OK. The driver files and any sub directories will
extracted in to the new directory. You can also extract the
driver to a floppy by entering the drive letter on the command
line (e.g. 'filename' -d a:).
These Printer drivers may
be standard Windows drivers which can be installed via the
control panel or Add printer wizard, BUT some are not! Check
if the driver has a SETUP.EXE file. If so install from
file Windows Explorer or Start/Run. |
